That said, our pricing is never arbitrary or constantly changing. We follow a consistent framework so you always know what to expect.
Most projects are based on four core factors:
1. Project Scope
What we’re documenting, how many spaces or products are involved, and the level of coverage required.
2. Production Time
Time on site, preparation, coordination, and logistics.
3. Post-Production & Deliverables
Editing, retouching, file preparation, and the number of final images or videos delivered.
4. Travel & Expenses
Projects outside our local service area may include mileage, ferry costs, or accommodation if required.
Because these factors vary from project to project, pricing will naturally vary as well — but always within a consistent structure.
To help with planning, most clients fall within the following ranges:
Commercial Photography
$450 – $900+
Small Business / Contractor Projects
$350 – $700
Video Production
$900 – $3,500+
Travel Outside Nanaimo - Included within 30 km
$0.70/km round trip beyond that distance
These ranges reflect typical projects and may vary depending on complexity.
Some projects — especially construction, events, or evolving creative work — are difficult to price precisely in advance.
In those cases, we may agree to:
Capture the project first, then finalize pricing based on the actual scope completed.
This approach ensures you only pay for what you truly need while allowing us to stay flexible on the day.
We always aim to keep pricing fair, predictable, and proportional to the value delivered.
No Hidden Fees
We don’t believe in surprise charges.
If additional costs are anticipated (extended time, extra deliverables, significant travel), we will communicate them clearly before finalizing your invoice.

Many of our clients work with us repeatedly. As we build ongoing relationships, we develop familiarity with your needs and workflows, which often leads to more efficient production and consistent pricing over time.
